Transportation Department
The ECCT Transportation Department is a vital part of the co-op and a necessity to each school
district. The site of this department is on 11.3 acres at 4101 South 4th Street. A modern 13,200
square foot building houses the department which utilizes an 8 member staff: Supervisor of
Transportation Operations, Supervisor of Transportation Center, Transportation Specialist, three
mechanics, and one assistant. There are 90 bus drivers and aides.
There are 69 regular education buses and 36 special education buses that run the 52 regular bus
routes, 4 ACT (alternative) Program, 18 special education and 3 Connect Program routes for the
five member districts.
The transportation building area is 60' X 120'. This includes repair areas, a wash stall, a
warehouse and records office. The ECCT Transportation Department hours are 6:00 AM to 5:00
PM, Monday through Thursday and Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. A mechanic is on call at all
times to provide immediate assistance with bus breakdowns.
